The Stafford Solar Fields project is unique because it includes acres of solar panels in two completely separate locations. The first is a 954 kW array on a hilltop at the city’s landfill and the second includes two 1.3 MW arrays behind the middle school. In 2015, the town broke ground and by October 2016, the arrays were completed and producing carbon-free electricity not long after.
